The Fish Market :: Operation

Fish classificationWhen fish arrives at market it is classified, weighed and finally labelled for its sale.

Through its labelling the consumer will know diverse information about the fish that they are buying, such as where it was captured, commercial and scientific name, weight, method of production, as well as the date of packaging.

Packing the fish in boxesOnce labelled the fish is packed in boxes that are stored in order of arrival inside the fish market ready for auction.

Before the auction the boxes are placed on display tables so that buyers can perfectly inspect the products they are about to buy.

The auction starts by the auctioneer calling out the fish prices using the stop out price method.
